<title>Christian Aid Week</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;
      Thank you to everyone for supporting Christian Aid week once again. The
      number of collectors is getting smaller each year (only 9) but the
      collection has passed &amp;#163;1,000 since 2002. This year&amp;#8217;s collection raised
      &amp;#163;1,155 and &amp;#163; 254 from gift aid. The UK total will be about &amp;#163;14 million
      which will fund long-term development projects, emergencies,
      campaigning, advocacy and education

<title>Christian Aid Week 9 - 15 May </title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;
      Christian Aid's goal and desire is to empower people... to determine
      their own futures and destinies. Joseph Maina who lives in Nairobi,
      Kenya is one such person. He was in a group of people who built
      sanitation blocks and with the income and help from Christian Aid they
      put down a deposit on a plot of land. In three years time they hope to
      move away from the slums and begin new lives. Please give generously and
      if you have an hour to spare become a collector. Martin 858047
